Suburbia Music Fest

05/03/14 - 05/04/14
Suburbia Music Festival
Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve - Plano, TX

Erin, Angie, and I attended the inaugural Suburbia Music Festival in Plano. (Full disclosure, we probably would not have gone if not if not for our favorite duo, Tegan and Sara, making an appearance.)

05/03/14 (Saturday)
Angie, Erin, me
The highlight from Saturday was definitely Third Eye Blind. It was pretty cool hearing songs like "Never Let You Go", "Graduate", "Semi-Charmed Kind of Life", and "Jumper" live. Stephan Jenkins was very energetic and put on a good show.

We also checked out Big Gigantic late Saturday night, and they were SO FUN. See if you can find me and Erin in the picture below.

05/04/14 (Sunday)
Sunday was obviously devoted to Tegan and Sara. They had a 13 song set-list. It's always great to hear "The Con" and "Living Room" and "Now I'm All Messed Up" is a Heartthrob favorite of mine. Below are some pictures from their set. They look so close because well, they are... we were front row again. :)

We also saw Blue October play on Sunday. Awesomely enough, they hail from Houston. For me, they are one of those bands that you don't think you know a lot of their songs, but once they start playing you realize you know quite a bit and REALLY enjoy them. I couldn't help but get a little emotional during "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean." Overall, great festival! I would definitely go again It was way less crowded than some other festivals I've been too... cough ACL, cough FPSF. They also had really big beers. ;)
