And THAT'S Reality

04/02/10 & 04/03/10
Tegan and Sara with Steel Train & Holly Miranda
The Pageant- St. Louis, MO & Uptown Theater- Kansas City, MO

I don’t think anything that I could ever write would live up to the experience that was our Missouri road trip. That said, I think I’ll do a really bad blog entry with incomplete sentences, absolutely no capitalization, and minimal punctuation! (Pictures are at the end this time.)

driving 13 hours straightgetting lost within the first 15
arriving in st. louis!
eating at denny’s
changing clothes in denny’s restroom (and the wait staff noticing)
arriving at venue
getting a freaky good parking spot
coming across seemingly bitchy girls who actually helped us out by telling us to get these numbered wristbands that allowed us in before everybody else & in order of wrist bands
practically crying when they played divided (okay scratch that, i cried)
driving 4 hours in the rain to kansas city
stressing out while erin drove in the rain
really stressing out.. too much for me so i slept
finally. at. hotel.
sleep for about 4 hours.
waiting outside of uptown theater for a really long time unnecessarily because we had passes that allowed us to get in before everyone else
but that’s okay because we met really neat people that had been to 50+ shows (and yall thought we were crazy?)
being mother effing front row
front row.
after the concert me and erin were so high on life we laid on the concrete and laughed until we felt ridiculous and then laughed some more and couldn’t stop repeating “and that’s reality!”
the drive home wasn’t too bad
i won’t speak for erin, but once she dropped me off in huntsville, i slipped into a depression and rethought my whole life/career choice/ what is life/what am i doing here type thing for months
i am okay now but i will not be embarrassed for my slight obsession of all things tegan and sara and the emotional experience of a great concert
The Pageant in St. Louis

Erin & I cheesing in all our grungy glory

So cute!

Our view from the line in Kansas City
